Hatha Yoga Teacher Training
4 Week / 200 Hours Yoga Alliance Certification
At AyurYoga Eco-Ashram, Mysore-Kerala, India
One
month yoga teacher training program to experience the intensive and
spiritual teachings and practices of traditional Hatha yoga - with more
emphasis on breathing, awareness, meditation and practical philosophy to
live an enlightened life in society. Also, you will be presented with a professional yoga
teacher
certification diploma, recognized by Yoga Alliance, with which you can start teaching yoga professionally around the world.
This 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training covers all the basic
techniques and skills to get started on the noble path of sharing your
practical
knowledge of yoga - both practical & intellectual - in a
professional way. Even if you are not interested
in teaching yoga, the practices and philosophy classes have detoxifying effect that will enrich your body, mind and intellect and helps you to understand the
purpose of life and know-how to live a sane and peaceful life.

AyurYoga Eco-Ashram is the permanent campus of Yoga Vidya Retreats, who offer retreats in various parts of India. Set in 20 acres of organic farm on the bank of river Kabini in the district of Mysore, the ashram is situated in a peaceful countryside where you can explore Mother Nature in all it's magic. Though geographically located at one hour distance from Mysore, the place is more similar to Kerala-Tamilanadu Sacred Forest Reserves at two hours distance.
As of now, we have limited cottages and can host only 2o to 25 students per a course with both Private and Twin-share accommodation in cottages made of wood and some out of hollow red earth bricks, all facing the river and valley.

Hath Yoga Teacher Training Course Outline
Practices: Asanas, pranayamas, kriyas, mudras, bandhas, meditation,
and chanting.Learn: Classification and sequencing of all yoga asanas (poses) and adjustments techniques to correct your students or yourself.
Healing: Therapeutic benefits of yoga and precautions and contraindication.
Theory: Introduction to yogic lifestyle, Historical evolution of Yoga, Types of Yogas, Patanjali Yoga Sutras, Yoga Anatomy & Physiology, Translation of important mantras.
Teaching Practice: Testing and sharing your Teaching skills with your co-teachers.
- Career: Business/Career of a yoga teacher, communication skills and safety norms.
Curriculum: International and Traditional
Techniques
Training/Practice — 117 Hours
Includes asanas, pranayamas, kriyas, chanting, mantra, meditation,
and other
traditional yoga techniques. These hours are a mix between
(1) analytical
training in how to teach and practice the techniques, and
(2) guided practice
of the techniques.
Teaching Methodology — 26 Hours
Includes principles of demonstration, observation, assisting /correcting,
instruction, teaching styles, qualities of a teacher, the student’s process of
learning, and business aspects of teaching yoga.
Yoga Anatomy & Ayurveda — 26 Hours
Includes both human physical anatomy and physiology (bodily systems, organs, etc.) and anatomy of Pranic body: chakras, nadis, etc. Includes both the study of the subject and application of its principles to yoga practice (benefits, contraindications, healthy movement patterns, etc).
Philosophy, Lifestyle & Ethics — 26 Hours
Includes the study of yoga sutras, Essence of Bhagavad Gita, Historical evolution of yoga, the yoga lifestyle in a materialistic society, and ethics for yoga teachers. If time permits, basic Sanskrit and translation classes.
Practicum — 20 Hours
Includes practice teaching, receiving feedback, observing others teaching and hearing/giving feedback. Also includes assisting teachers in daily practice class.
Yoga Teacher Training Certification & Assessments
We are recognized by Yoga Alliance in USA & Canada as both RYS 200 and RYS 300 (Registered Yoga School) under the name of "AyurYoga Eco-Ashram" and our main teacher Krishna Chaitanya is a E-RYT 500 (Expert Registered Yoga Teacher) too. This allows you to use our yoga teacher training certificate for insurance and taxation purpose. And with our yoga teacher training certificate you can also register as RYT 200 online from www.yogaalliance.org - for your career and job opportunities.
Yoga Teacher Training Fees:
This Course Fees includes Accommodation + Food for 30 nights, All Classes, Text books, manuals, New Yoga Mat, Kriya accessories like Jala Neti, Sutra neti, etc. that we will give you after arriving here. Also includes private coaching, spiritual consultations
The course fee DOES NOT include your flight ticket / Airport transfers which we can organize at extra costs.
