YOGA INTENSIVE (DETOX) RETREAT 


Dates: 

We are discontinuing this course at the moment. We might be able to re-start this program in early 2014. 

 

Course Outline:

Yoga Intensive (Detox) Retreat is for serious practitioners with prior experience in yoga and meditation. The ten days of intensive yoga practice – holding the positions longer time and more advanced positions - and includes intensive pranayamas (breathing exercises), Kriyas (detox) such as Nasal cleansing (Netis), vomiting (Vamana), purgation (Shanka Prakshalana) and yoga lectures on harmonizing the Body and mind with Mother Nature. The theory subject and Sanskrit text will be decided after assessing the level of students. 

Admittance:

The course is strictly restricted for serious practitioners and selection will be done only after personal interview with our teachers through phone or Skype. The course is limited to 20 students maximum.

Medical Fitness:

You should have normal sound health – physically and psychologically – and should have been practicing yoga regularly for long time and in daily practice at least two weeks prior to the course. If you have any chronic health issues, we will have to discuss, and students with high blood pressure, cardiac & respiratory problems are not allowed. 

Special Diet:

We provide the special yogic diet – consisting of non-spicy rice gruels, lentils, dry fruits and vegetables - without salt and sugar. Herbal tea is okay. If you have any particular dietary needs, you can discuss with our teachers during the personal interview. Students are not expected to eat any other food/drink without the permission of main teacher.

Guidelines: 

Smoking, Alcohol, drugs and sexual activity are not allowed during the course. In case, if we find any student engaged in these activities, we reserve the right to dismiss from the retreat, without any refund.

The students are expected to keep away from stimulating music, readings, computers (other than for emails), or any other activity distracting other students.

Daily Schedule:

05.30 – 06.00 am: Meditation
06.00 – 06.30 am: Kriyas (Detox practices)
06.30 – 08.00 am: Dynamic Yoga for detox
08.05 – 08.45 am: Pranayamas
08.45 – 09.30 am: Yoga Nidra & Meditation
09.30 – 11.30 am: Brunch & free time
11.30 – 12.30 pm: Mantra Chanting / Sanskrit
12.00 – 01.00 pm: Theory
01.00 – 03.00 pm: Rest / Meditation (personal guidance)
03.00 – 05.00 pm: Advanced Yoga session
05.00 – 06.00 pm: Pranayamas
06.00 – 07.00 pm: Yoga Nidra & Meditation

Please note the schedule is subject to change as per the students level of practice and the effect of practices on their body-mind. If the group is in high energy we might increase the practice hours, vice versa. We assess each student on personal basis and personal guidance is given. 

Fees & Deposit:

US$400 (includes special diet & room). 
US$200 non-refundable & non-transferable deposit is needed for booking a place. The balance amount should be paid before the starting day of the course.We accept Credit Card payments, Bank transfer or Indian currency.
